The National Rental Home Council (NRHC) has named Terrie Suit as its new Chief Operating Officer. With more than 25 years of experience in housing policy, real estate finance, and association leadership, Suit brings a strong operational and advocacy-focused perspective to the organization.

As COO, Suit will oversee NRHC’s strategic operations and financial management while supporting efforts to protect housing choice and advance the single-family rental (SFR) industry.

“As the single-family rental industry continues to evolve, Terrie’s leadership comes at exactly the right time. Her deep understanding of housing policy and organizational management will be instrumental as NRHC expands its advocacy efforts and operational capacity,” said NRHC CEO Adrianne Todman.

Suit’s background includes nearly nine years in the Virginia House of Delegates, service as Virginia’s first Secretary of Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security, and more than a decade leading the state’s largest real estate trade association. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly two decades in mortgage lending and real estate.

“My background in government and the real estate industry has taught me that effective advocacy requires both credibility and strong organizational infrastructure. I look forward to using that experience to help NRHC elevate the industry’s voice and deliver even greater value to our members,” said Suit.

“NRHC is excited to continue expanding its impact in the single-family rental space and is thrilled to have leaders like Terrie Suit on the team, driving its mission forward and supporting the growth of the industry at large,” said Todman.
