John Manes is CEO and co-owner of Pinnacle Storage Properties and Pinnacle Storage Managers. He has been involved in self-storage since 2005 in multiple roles. Manes is a former board member of the Texas Self Storage Association, where he has served on a number of TSSA committees and chaired the Education Committee in 2018. Before starting his own self-storage real estate investment company, Manes most recently served as chief operating officer for The Jenkins Organization, a fully integrated real estate company specializing in the self-storage industry. As the chief operating officer, his primary function was to oversee all home office and field operations. Manes has also served as a regional vice president with Uncle Bob’s Self-Storage (now Life Storage), where he was responsible for the performance of over 120 properties and 200 employees. For three consecutive years, Manes had the best performing region in the portfolio.
